B.A. in ASEAN Languages and Cultures
(New Curriculum 2022)

Overview

The ASEAN Languages and Cultures program is designed to prepare graduates for the demands of an increasingly interconnected and multicultural world. As Thailand advances within the ASEAN Economic Community, professionals need more than just technical expertise—they require strong language proficiency and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultural contexts.

This program develops students’ competencies in major ASEAN languages, including Khmer, Vietnamese, Burmese, Lao, and Indonesian, while fostering an understanding of the region’s social and cultural diversity. Emphasis is placed on practical communication skills, intercultural adaptability, and critical awareness of shared and differing cultural values. By combining language learning with cultural knowledge, the program equips graduates to thrive in the ASEAN and global labor markets, contribute to professional fields, and engage as responsible members of a multicultural society.
