LCC-Meiji students beneficial international engagement in SDG workshop

On February 19, 2018, the Center for International Studies, Faculty of Humanities, welcomed Associate Professor Dr. Takane Kawashima, and 13 Japanese students from Meiji University. More than 50 students from Language for Communication (LCC) – international program and the students from Meiji University actively engaged in a cross-cultural workshop devoted to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations as well as group discussions about solving environmental problems in Thailand and Japan. Just as cooperation among global citizens of diverse cultural backgrounds often leads to powerful results, this sustained collaboration among the diverse cultural groups of students from the two universities leads to lasting friendships and shared progress of productive learning and initiatives in an international community.
